If you're playing on PC, here's what you do: Boot up steam and log in with your account. Then right click on Black Ops 2 and select "properties". Now find where it says under compatibility settings "run this program in compatibility mode for windows xp (service pack 3)" and check it. Hit apply, then next, then apply again to accept the changes. Then run the game through steam and it should work. Or sometimes you can just double click on Black Ops 2 in Steam and it will load and work fine. I've had to do this a couple times when I forgot to launch it from Steam first.
